Dignity

How well a card sits with its neighbors — strengthened or weakened by company.

Dignity is the oldest reading rule: cards in good company strengthen each other; cards in bad company temper each other. A Star next to the Nine of Cups reads brighter than a Star boxed in by swords.

No chart needed — just look at the neighbors before you read the card.
