The gardener leans on the hoe, watching one ripe fruit. Seven of Pentacles is the long grow — effort banked, harvest close, nothing to do today but assess. Look honestly at the vine: which row earns its water? Fertilize that one; prune the other without sentiment. Patience is a strategy, not a shrug.

Reversed, the assessment is being skipped or the investment doubted. Skipped: keep watering what never germinated and call it loyalty. Doubted: the delay is real but so is the fruit — check the calendar, not the mood. Crops do not ripen faster when stared at.
