À l'endroit
Sitting up in bed, face in hands, nine swords on the wall — none of them in the room. Nine of Swords is the night audit: fears scaled for daylight, run at 3 a.m. on no data. Get them on paper tomorrow, in ink, with evidence columns. Half will not survive sunrise when written.
À l'envers
Reversed, the night ends or the anxiety moves in permanently. If ending: name what actually helped — sleep, a phone call, breakfast — and prescribe it for next time. If permanent: this is no longer a thinking problem; hand it to a professional and rest the watchman.
Lectures en combinaison
- The Moon — Nine of Swords + Moon: two cards of distorted light — the shapes at 3 a.m. are larger than the things casting them.
